A lot of peoples lives have resorted to findind someone online (friends or even dating) since the real ones never seem to work out huh? but if you met people on here and all is good, congrads :) Once you are out of school and the pool of accessible singles shrink, the options and chances for meeting someone are drastically reduced. Online sites theoretically increase the amount of single people you can meet. However, online or real world, it's all a leap of faith. |

I prefer online dating or meeting new friends online thab real life. Why? Because people don't give the person a chance to explain myself, or they solely go off first impression...which apparently means everything in the world. If its not a good one, they ignore you and run away.
In a nutshell, it is a leap of faith. You also do lose a lot of contact with people after high school. |

You just wait, one day I will be king of the world and you will all hail me and bring me your gold. Is that the new tagline for cash4gold.com? |

I, for one, don't go by first impressions, as they are almost never a true picture of someone, and I also, for the most part, don't listen to what others say about someone/something. I get to know the person or find out information and go by what "I" see and feel. |

That being said, yes, people do still run away from me online. The best part is that I don't look an idiot in public doing it, I can just look for something else.
Yeah, that happened at a night club one time. It was pretty awkward. |

I've found that meeting people online is alot better than in person. Online, you don't have much to go on and you really have to get to know the person before meeting them. This allows for a more personal relationship, rather than seeing them upfront and going based on looks. Sure, you can get a picture of someone online but even still, the time you actually meet, it will have alot more meaning and you will be alot closer for just talking online first. I've met 2 different people online and while both turned out to be friends in the long run, I'm very happy that there is real people out there, willing to take a chance and go with their feelings rather than looks. Now if we can only stop these spammers from ruinging what is good about these sites and stop forcing away people due to them.
