Yeah, he puts that crap music on again and wants to swing me around the kitchen like he thinks he is Fred Astire.
Then, Good God, he wiggles his eye brows and says Hey Baby!
Those eyebrows would scare the living daylights out of most folks. Like giant catapillers!
Oh yeah, then he thinks were going to put dinner on hold while...
whatever. Myabe if I can hold him off til he eats, then he'll nod off in his chair.

Welcome to the site.

Madison Avenue has sold many on the "get what you want, RIGHT NOW" idea. Experience teaches people; "life is like a fine wine, meant to be ejoyed."

When your 45 living alone with your dog and wondering why, remember what I wrote.

...once upon a time a man dated and romanced a woman. One day he asked her to marry him. She refused. He lived happily ever after.

My problem is finding a cultured, educated, intellegent woman worth my time in romancing. I'm not seeing the quality. I'm seeing bitter, angry, disgruntled, dillusional, sociopsychotics full of psychoses, neuroses, insecurities, and more baggage than an airport. Its very hard to romance a woman who constantly puts obstacles in the way of having a good relationship. Again- some women do not need romance. They need therapy.

...he wasted his time romancing her. She spurned his romance and shelfed his love. He got tired of her silly games and moved on. He ran into a childhood sweetheart and got married after they romanced each other, and they both got their doctorates. They had 2 kids, worked hard, invested wisely, put their beautiful children through college, retired from practice early through frugal living, and bought a quaint winery and orchard up in napa valley, and they lived happily ever after. As for the dillusional princess that spurned his love so long ago? She's on a dating site trying to tell guys how to be romantic. The end.

If men and women both really knew the meaning of romance and practiced what they knew there would be no sites like this one. tongue2

My ex was sweet when he wanted to be. He would stop on the side of a road and pick flowers for me.flowerforyou blushing But then just add alcohol and he became a monster.mad. So romance can not just be sometimes, it has to be a lifelong commitment.

WRONG!!! He was wonderful for the first 20 years, then decided he was so good at it he had to spread it around.

The problem with your story is the one-sided narrative/perspective. That is why the men did not respond well and will continue to not respond well.

Women have not cornered the market on honesty, integrity, and romance. Your post was insulting.
