some people enjoy the taste of cake but that doesn't mean they will eat the entire cake. one glass for the taste can do the trick great analogy. i love the taste of my favorite beers and really enjoy one or two 32oz mugs with a steak or a habanero buffalo chicken sandwich. not enough to get me buzzed but goes so well with a good meal.

Hummmmm well I've been known to just have one drink like a Margarita with my Mexican food. Or a couple of beers with and appetizer as well. Why cause I actually enjoy a drink once in a while sure at times I may catch a buzz but I don't drink to get drunk I actually enjoy the taste or I would not drink them. Sometimes I'm known to fix me a couple of White Russian when at home heck 2-3 at the max not only do they taste good but sure makes me sleep good. Now in my younger days I will admit heck ya I went for the buzz and getting drunk but as I have gotten older that is irrelevant to me for now I go for the taste.

Back to the OP...perhaps it's peer pressure..cuz they wanna look cool? I know that's why most teenagers start drinking...then they continue for the buzz...

Ok it's for those who drink alcohol. I understand those people who drink, because they want to feel better from the alcohol, get buzzed or trying to get wasted and so on... You are fine, drinking is justified. I understand when you drink water or a soda, because you are thirsty and you need liquid...you are also good to go, we don't want to dry out and die, so drinking is justified. BUT What about those people who say " Ohh I just want to drink a bit" so they drink a little bit, they don't' want to get a buzz, they don't want to get drunk, and they are definitely not thirsty. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU DRINKING THEN? There is no point to it!! Sometimes I'll just have a glass of wine. Not enough to do anything. But I like it, so I just have a little.
