I love don't sit under the apple tree. An awesome song. A string of pearls is always nice. I do love Tommy Dorsey's music more though, I have to say

I was brought up on "Big Band" music.

When I was at Disneyland in 79, I saw a revamped version of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra at the Carnation Milk Stand. Later when I got back to my hotel room, I called my parents and told them who I had seen in concert.

  They went bananas

Duke Ellington
Cab Calloway
Count Basie
Jimmy Dorsey
Tommy Dorsey
Loius Armstrong

I can`t remember what all music my parents had but this is some of it.

They also like New Orleans Dixieland Jazz
Chicago Blues
Memphis Blues

All I can say is : Thanks Mom & Pop for influencing me about music.

moonlight serinade is my favourite of Miller's, but was more of a fan of the other bands from that time, Bunny Berigan, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsy, Duke ellington etc.
