I'm 48. Men my age look way too old for me. They look like they're in their 60's! I want a guy who look's as young as I do. That mean's, they need to take care of thermselve's.

I'm with you on this one!

...That is completely sick of people their own age? I can't date anyone younger than me anymore it's just.. stupid.

Sick of people my own age? Yes and no. Yes, for the ones trying to dress and talk like the younger crowd make my stomach roll.

It seems the men around my age are looking for much younger women. Even if they don’t say it outright, they’ll put things like “… but look much younger” or “… but relate better to younger” in their profile. Of course, this translates as “I’m in my 40’s, but thinking I can get a 20-something if I dress and talk using slang for that age group. Thanks for the warning… next.

As for the ones younger, it seems a lot of them are looking for older women. I’ve tried dating younger men, but it always fails for the same reason each time. They’re younger and have fewer responsibilities and live their life accordingly. I’m older and have responsibilities and live my life mostly accordingly. It’s always great in the beginning, but eventually boils down to them always being too carefree and my having obligations that require my not being able to be as carefree.

The last group… the older men… has varied between being like the men around my own age (looking for 20-somethings so they can feel “male macho prowess”) or being too settled in their own ways of doing things and being single and seem to take on more of a stern fatherly role.

Wow… I’ve rambled a bit. Sorry about that. In a nutshell, there are general things that are common among each of the groups, but every so often I do come across a few who don’t fall into those categories.

I have the reverse problem. I HAVE to date somebody younger, because everybody my age has kids and expects me to submit to a domestication agenda. I need to find someone whose "turn-a-guy-into-a-goat" gene hasn't kicked in yet.

Absolutley pricelessrofl
