here in england we are debatin if the usa has 50 or 52 states,please help!

But there also protected United States territories. Guam, The Virgin Islands, American Samoa, And Puerto Rico. They are not states. |

Puerto Rico US Virgin Islands Guam American Samoa all the territories have the right to vote and full coverage under the Constitution and benefits like Social Security and Medicare but if I remember correctly they don't pay US income tax |

We have more then 50 states, but we leave it as 50 because we like that number. We have other states that are nonincorporated but is still part of the US under Federal legislation, such as Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and a few other nearby countries that are part of the union.
Something like that. You may want to look it up with someone that knows a little more then I do. |
