So even if the job sucks.. and it's repetitive and people stink there and you just don't want to do it... you do it anyways right...
Cause you know you have to cause if you don't you won't survive in the real world

Absolutely, do you know how many people wished they had a job that other people complain about, I know I do!

the bigger question is.. even if you hate your job sooooo much and the people you work with are back stabbers and talk sh!t all the time behind your back and it stresses you out and you really can't find another job right now... Do you still go to work and try and deal with it so you have some kind of paycheck?
yes......you just described my job perfectly. I need to eat, pay bills.

right and you have to do all that on your own cause there's no one else out there to help you right
So you go to that terrible job day after day after day just so you have money to pay rent, electricity, phone, cable, food...
and what happens if you don't go to work?

What's the point of this thread? What are you trying to get at?

I love my job. Even if I didn't have to work I still would. I work all day, most evenings and on weekends if I have to.

Even if the job sucks, you hang onto it until the possibility of something better comes along. If that doesn't happen, you still have the sucky job, and you still have income.

At least, that's how the smart folks play it.

A lot of people develop a Prima Donna complex, and if any little thing at their job isn't exactly to their liking, they quit. Now, they've got sh!t. They've got no job, and no prospects, especially in today's economy. It's their own fault, and they have nobody to blame for it but themselves.

Honestly... I have a friend who she didn't go to work all last week and not for the last 2 days. She said she can't stand the people she works with, the way people talk behind each others backs and don't give a crap about her. She feels stressed out and just can't go to work and feels that not working there anymore would make life better. But I say, how are you going to pay bills, how are you gonna pay for medicine and buy food. And she says I don't know I just need to figure it out.
I wanted her to see this thread and to see others opinions on the whole thing. As many opinions would be great. Thanks Everyone.

I adore my job. It serves a purpose, and I feel fulfilled at the end of the day. It keeps my mind sharp, and honestly, it's just cool. I also need money to live and support my son.

If I did not feel I had a purpose, a career... well I'd hate being jobless. Been there, done that. I felt bored out of my mind!!! I stayed home with my son for a few months when he was an infant and I found I yearned for adult interaction, for brain excercise, and the company of purposeful others. Not to mention the structure.

I secretly have thought(well not secretly anymore) that folks who don't want to work are lazy and apathetic. Worthless.... if they'd rather sit at home all day.

Good point or they try and blame it on other people knowing deep down inside it's all there fault

Your friend needs to get her head out of her ***. Such is life. But don't EVER leave a job, especially in today's economy, without another one in place.

I would lose my house, have nothing to eat, cable, net, phone all gone but I would be happier.

How do you think you would be happier?

That's one of the reasons I do all the side jobs and odd jobs like I do....for suplemental income. Cash. I do the job the person asks of me, I put that cash in my back pocket when I'm done, and I walk away. That little bit of extra money goes into my gas tank(s), or pays a bill, or buys me a pack of smokes, or whatever. Every little bit helps, and it beats the hell out of diggin' a ditch.

I was just curious, that's all. I think we all have days where we don't enjoy our job. I know I do. However, I'd hate not having a job. So, I just deal with it on the bad days and enjoy it on the good days.

Some people complain about their jobs, wait until they are unemployed & try to find a job in this economy....whole different ball game then!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a person trying to better themselves, but keep what you have until that opportunity arises, no matter how bad you've got it! Many people are much worse off.

MAKE THAT MONEY!

First off,Why would you ever let those people at work make you unemployed??You quit, they win. I would hang in there, tell them to kiss off.And try to find another job.It is easer to find a job when you have one.So unless you come from a money tree, hang in there.
