i used to smoke. smoking is not a big deal to me. i would not quit for someone, you gotta wanna quit for yourself  Would their wanting you to quit be motivation enough for you to want to do so? isn't ^^ that a wonderful different perspective. most people get so offended when their partner wishes they'd do, or not do, something that they automatically get rebellious and defiant and refuse to bend at all in any way. isn't it nice to have someone do something for you, just because you want it? i don't smoke. my partner does. i don't think i've ever asked him to quit specifically for me, but i'm sure i've bothered him enough about it for health reasons. i actually like the smell of the smoke on him, especially when he's smoking the black cherry pipe tobacco.

At family get togethers I used to get lectured about the evils of smoking. If we stood together our signs might match! TM |

When I'm with someone who smokes, I smoke. When I'm with a non-smoker, I don't either. I always seem to adjust my habits to their habits, even right down to the way I take my coffee. |

I don't smoke, and would prefer it if my partner didn't smoke either. That being said...if I found someone I REALLY clicked with, who was a smoker, I might be inclined to date him anyway.

I quit smoking. I wanted to quit and I was in the process of quitting when I got very ill and ended up in the hospital. I have tired to quit before, and I have quit for several years or several months at a time before. This time, I am done. I did it for me, my health, the hope that one day I will have a grand child to be around, and I was sick of it! It was way too expense too! My partner smokes...those small vanilla cigars...and I have trouble breathing around smoke now. He smokes outside the house. If I was not in a relationship, I would have to ask someone not to smoke inside my house or in my car...we would not be able to go to a smoke filled area...if he was willing to do that, then I would not have an issue with it... |
