1. PHONE

2. TEXT MESSAGING

3. EMAILS

4. LETTER WRITING

Which one is most effective and why and which one left a longer effect on the receiver mind? Please specify regardless the situation. It is a general discussion not a survey. THANKS

I find that 1 on 1, face-to-face interactions are the best.
You can see, hear, and truly take in all the experessions.
Second best is phone calls because you get to hear the inflections and the words being said.

I find that writing can be very expressive but it leaves too much to the interpretation of the reader and the inflections and true intent of the writer can be misconstrued or lost.

If you want to connect with someone in the strongest possible way, you should meet face to face. No other form of communication really takes the place of this. It involves all of our senses—visual, aural and olfactory. Plus, your body language and facial expression will be clearly visible, which in many cases, can be a big plus when trying to get your point across.

A phone conversation is still a good bet, and obviously very easy, but you can not see the person (or people) on the other end.

Sending a carefully thought-out letter is a warm gesture, especially if it is hand-written. It shows that you took the time.

Email is the least effective way to communicate if you are trying to connect with someone.

Text Messaging is probably the most controversial type of communication. It is highly personal, and can be seen as a phone call or instant message in level of importance.

Some of these technologies are more or less engaging, mostly depending on how you use them. However, when trying to connect with someone, I would say that of all the usual modes of communication, personal interaction is best, a phone call next, then a personal letter, then email. Everything else falls somewhere in between.

I find N frame, large caliber smith and wesson revolvers work the best for getting a message across. Especially after a warning shot is fired.

The hand written word, with all it's incompleteness and vagary.
For the time it takes, for all it's mistakes.
Speaks more than what could be held on the single page.

Love letters from dear ones.
Aged and yellow, cracked with remembrance.

No higher conscience than your own to ask
"Do you really want to delete this? "
when cast aside.

Writting letters is a lost art. I cannot tell you the last one I wrote. I did at one time, write a list of things I wanted to do with him. That was a while ago.
