Let's face it...people get unjustly picked on every day...whether it's over gender, ethnicity, disability, creed, or sexual orientation... Have you laughed at a mean-spirited joke? Have you passed up a friend because they have a disability? Have you ever thought that you were "better" than someone? Then you just might be a bigot...(and let's not get into the technicalities of the definition of a bigot...you all know what I mean).

When you see this around you...do you protest or do you turn a blind eye? Be honest...

I would hope people would not judge me....
I try to be friends with everyone, without prejudice.
unless, they are mean, and judgemental twards me.

So many people got issues, and hang- ups.
I just try to be me...people either like me or they don't.

I do have one major prejudice. I am prejudiced against a$$holes.

I treat everyone the same. I truely believe in "Treat others how you want to be treated".


I don't care where you come from or what you are about. We are all living beings and should treat each other with respect.

It would be naive to think that anyone may admit they have been one.

I have biases, sure... and I make off color jokes. In my line of work, it's laugh or cry. We choose laugh, most times. I've also assumed a gender and race of someone I'm scheduled to meet based on their name. And been wrong.

As much as I would love to say that I have treated everyone the same, treated everyone the way I want to be treated...I cannot say that.

I have been arrogant enough to think that I have been better than someone...and re-learned humility very quickly.
I have laughed at and told some jokes that I know where not nice...

yet, I do not enjoy people or enjoy being around people who hold prejudice against others based on a trait alone...like color/gender/nationality/religious belief/... I do not enjoy people or being around people who are arrogant and step on those they deem beneath them...

so, yes, there are times when I was a bigot...not something that I will put in my resume or cover letter for sure!

Why OF COURSE! But I have seen a few "come clean" here already...& I'm digging the honesty. Anyone who says that they haven't done it or thought it, is a liar...& mainly to themselves.

Ok yes, I have told jokes, but as far as person to person, I have never treated anyone as if they were beneath me. Well maybe the drug addicts or the alcoholics who can't take care of their own kids. But not because of their color of skin or the lack of a job or where they live.

But that is another topic(alcoholics and drug addicts)
