Topic: Come one come all Group Mingle Cruise 2010

I think I will stay off the internet! Which ship are we booking on again? And do you have dinner and dress restrictions stuff or is it a free style cruise?

It's the Carnival Valor, you can go to Carnival's website, they have a FAQ section that's pretty comprehensive. Carnival's probably the most casual of the cruise lines. There are 2 formal nights on our cruise, but you don't have to go all out, cocktail dresses are fine. Or you can skip them and just eat at the buffet. As for the rest of the nights in the dining room, they just request no jeans or shorts but it's a request, they won't kick you out for wearing jeans. You will have a set dining time in the formal dining rooms (so far, everyone's requested the late seating) but again, the buffet's are open, there's room service, pizza, etc. You can pretty much eat whenever you feel like it. As for the rest of the time, it's definitely casual. I wore a bathing suit and cover up pretty much the whole time on the ship. For this cruise, I'm seriously considering just bringing several sun dresses, stuff that will work as both coverups and can wear in the ports, since I that's pretty much what I wore on my last 2.

Figured I'd post this here in the travel section as well. A couple of us are trying to put together a group cruise sometime in 2010. If you follow this link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/minglecruise2010/ You can participate in the planning process (if you want) or just be kept in the loop about plans so you can decide later if you want to join in. The more people we get, the better rates and perks we can get. While nothing has been set in stone, price is a deciding factor for all of us, so we are going to do this as cheaply as we possibly can. So, if you are in any way interested, sign up at the yahoo group to keep yourself in the know. Unfortunately, there are too many people to e-mail each person individually and there's no easy way on Mingle to e-mail a large group, so please do not ask me to "keep you posted," I can't do that and that's why I set up the yahoo group page. We'll be posting details as they emerge as well. MirrorMirror will be there

Well, we needed 8 cabins in order to get the group discount and perks, doesn't look like we're gonna make it For those of you who have said you are going but haven't signed up yet, you have until the 28th. For those that have signed up, thank you!
