Ok, I'm not much for arbitrary rules but I think this one could be fitting:

There shalt be no stalking of anyone on the cruise without their signed, sealed and witnessed consent

BTW, how much luggage can you bring on board?

I know the restriction with flight, but what do they allow on ship.

There are no restrictions on what you can bring on board (well, quantity-wise).

I'm going to try like hell to fly Southwest, they still allow 2 checked bags and one carry on (plus a purse) with no extra charge. I pack a small suitcase inside a big suitcase, then when I get to the port, I fill the small one with soda and fill it with souvenirs on the way home. The first time we cruised, we had 6 bags between 3 people on the way there, I had to buy 3 bags to fit all the stuff I bought in Mexico to take home noway noway laugh laugh laugh

Ok, so I bought 10 mexican wool throw blankets and a hand-painted margarita pitcher and glasses. It was worth it bigsmile

I would probably be flying Northwest or delta or whatever they are calling it now.

I have a suitcase that can fit in the other... so I figured it I acquired stuff on the way I would have another bag. No biggy paying the for another bag on the way back.

I bought 3 Carnival bags on the ship for $20 each, they are FANTASTIC, I use them for everything. Aside from my $4 blankets, they were the best thing I bought on the cruise laugh laugh laugh

Oh, and you don't need to pack beach towels, they have them in your cabin for you to use and they are NICE! I might buy some to take home with me, I was mad at myself for not buying them last time.

I have a feeling that there will be so much going on that I won't know what to do first, huh?

Last time I cruised, there was a computer room where you could buy internet time. I heard, though I haven't confirmed, that you can now get WiFi throughout most of the ships. Cell phones will not work except when you're in port but unless you have an international plan, it's usually cheaper to buy an international phone card and call home that way.

There is a lot going on. Every night, they put a schedule for the next day in your room so you can decide what, if anything, you want to do. It's really pretty well organized. But, yeah, there is a LOT going on

Are most of on board activites free?

Everything but the casino, the spa and bingo on board are free. Well, I think there may have been small charges for some of the exercise classes (pilates and yoga?). Shore excursions are extra but there's plenty to do in the ports that don't cost more than the price of a cab or a couple of bottles of water. There are public beaches that are free. Belize, though, that can be a little dangerous. If you don't do a ship excursion, I wouldn't go beyond the fenced tourist area. But Cozumel and Grand Cayman, lots of free beaches that shouldn't cost more than $5 or $10 to get to.

There is one thing in Grand Cayman, I think it was about $40 for the stingray swim and snorkle. I posted about it on the Yuku site. I've done that before, it's awesome and well worth the money.

I just pulled this from Carnival's website re: internet access:

For those guests who want the option of staying connected to the rest of the world, we proudly offer access to the Internet with our onboard Internet Café and wireless networks using the ships own satellite connection. The Internet Café is open 24-hours a day and features private terminals with the latest flat panel computer monitors.

The Internet is accessed via our C-band satellite system and utilizes state-of-the-art compression and acceleration technologies to deliver the best guest experience in the cruise industry. As a result, guests can feel right at home while surfing the Internet at sea. Guests will have the ability to send and receive e-mail, chat online and access the full Internet. Guests can also access their own e-mail account through AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. Alternatively, guests will have the option to use their very own temporary e-mail account with our “Cruise E-mail”™.

We also offer wireless Internet access across our entire fleet. Depending on the vessel, we have either limited wireless access in and around the shipboard Internet café and select public areas or a complete “Bow2stern” wireless network. The “Bow2Stern” network allows our guests (and crew) to enjoy Internet access from literally anywhere on board, including all public areas, lounges, bars and pool decks, guest suites and cabins. To take full advantage of this feature, guests should bring their personal laptops along with them, as the number of laptops available for rent onboard is limited. In addition, this network supports the latest Wi-Fi enabled i-Phones, Palm Pilots and Blackberrys. These wireless deployments are available as follows:

Onboard Internet Café and “Bow2stern” Wi-Fi

Carnival Conquest
Carnival Destiny
Carnival Elation
Carnival Fantasy
Carnival Freedom
Carnival Imagination
Carnival Inspiration
Carnival Legend
Carnival Liberty
Carnival Miracle

Carnival Dream (September 2009)
Onboard Internet Café and Limited Wi-Fi (details of areas available in Internet Café)

Carnival Fascination
Carnival Elation
Carnival Paradise
Carnival Glory

Internet Café Price List :
To utilize the Internet service, the below options are available. Please note that the Internet pricing options are identical, whether an Internet Café terminal is utilized, or a laptop. All Internet access charges will be billed directly to the guest's onboard “Sail & Sign” Account. In addition, when using a Café terminal, files can be downloaded as "read only" but cannot be saved, since a floppy disk cannot be inserted into the PC's. Users who bring their own laptop can read and save files without restriction.

An initial one-time Activation Fee of $3.95 applies to each user.
A basic time charge of $0.75 per minute (“Pay-As-You-Go”) is available. Minutes are rounded to the next full minute.

Discounted "Time Plans" offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a lower per-minute rate. These Time Plans do not have to be used in a single session and can be used anytime throughout the cruise until debarkation; No refund for unused minutes; Upgrading selected pricing option is not available. Plans are subject to change.

Cruises 6 days in length and longer:

100 minutes for $55.00 ($0.55 per minute)
250 minutes for $100.00 ($0.40 per minute)
Cruises less than 6 days in length:

30 minutes for $16.50 ($0.55 per minute)
60 minutes for $24.00 ($0.40 per minute)
If your personal laptop does not have built in Wi-Fi, you can rent a Wirless Radio Card on board. To rent a Wireless Radio Card for your personal laptop, the rate is $10.00 per day, optional insurance is $3.00 per day. This allows guests to connect their laptops to the ship's wireless signal and is in addition to the Internet price plans.

A limited number of laptops are available for rent for an additional $10.00 per day, or free with a Time Plan purchase; and optional insurance is also available.
