August is the perfect month here...the lake is even warm!! although, Darrel has gone in once already...it will probably be a couple of weeks before I go swimming...unless it gets really hot...then it is instant cool down!! the breeze off the lake generally keeps the weather pretty nice for me! I spent a bit of time on the beach today! |

This is what I'm going to do some of this summer!!! I think we have enough wood for some HUGE beach fires this year!! Darrel took out about 4-5 smaller trees that had winter kill...and there is still 2-3 larger trees down in the woods... Lots of wood on the beach already!! and a huge pile by the fire ring in the yard... we have not gone fishing yet...hope to soon though! lots of fun to be had before the snow flies!! |

A fire on the beach sounds so nice. I've never done that. Been to the Gulf coast many times but they don't allow that there at public beaches. But hey, right about now I'd take some snow!
