Yeah. They DO have teeth. But they're also INCREDIBLY slow, too. So getting bitten by such a creature would surely cause immense pain after a certain point in time. laugh

well if I'm wrestling one, I don't think "slow" would really make a difference... laugh

Yeah. You'd probably be trying to move around as fast as you can, huh Prncs! laugh

And THAT would mean that Mr. Two-toed sloth would be in for it, huh! He'd better be careful, or he might get a folding chair slammed on his head, right Prncs? laugh

Except when the referee isn't looking that is, right Prncs? After all... that's how Rowdy Roddy Piper did it! laugh

I loved Rowdy Roddy and Ken Shamrock...

Yeah. Roddy does occasional appearances on TNA (Total Non-stop Action) Wrestling now.

I got to meet "The Iron Sheik" on a low-budget student film a couple months ago, and he was pretty cool, too.

In fact, he totally freaked when I told him that I did the pro-wrestling school back when I was in college. His exact words were, "NO!!! Don't pro-wrestle! It's no good for you!!!".

And then you got the female wrestlers on TNA, too- they aren't like old-school favorites like "The Fabulous Moolah" in the least, which many out there (including OC and Rare) might appreciate. In fact, OC might dig checking out an all-female tag-team called "The Beautiful People", I bet. drool

Yeah, from what I've heard it's not really a good career...

Nope. Not only are your chances of getting into the big-leagues (like the WWE/ECW/WCW, or TNA) INCREDIBLY slim, you're constantly at risk of risking permanent injury from a mis-timed move.

And then there's the constant stinging, slapping pain that will result from falling on that mat. Even though it's sort of cushioned (thin-wall steel sheets covered in canvas with a truck spring in the middle to absorb shock), having to land on your back even in that environment is just plain painful.

I lasted about a month-and-a-half at a pro-wrestling training academy near where I currently live back when I was in college, and I'll tell you... I ran outta there like a fourteen year-old girl at a Justin Timberlake concert. There was a wee bit too much pain for me to endure there.

And I've still got the bum knee as a reminder of why it's a good idea NOT to do that kind of stuff.

Yeah I've seen documentaries on it and it seems like a senseless way to wreck your body...

Yup. You gotta be a total masochist in order to survive in that business. It's not something for the soft-at-heart.

And it's getting a lot worse too, with the "extreme" wrestling and stuff- that's where wrestlers will use anything they can get their hands on in order to beat the opponent senseless. You know... stuff like chairs, baseball bats, barbed wire, even bags of thumb tacks.

In fact, I saw this one match earlier today on TNA Wrestling where some FEMALE wrestlers (some chicks named "Taylor Wilde" and "Daffney") had what was called a "bad of 10,000 tacks" match. That was where the first person to slam the other person onto a bed of tacks (dumped in the ring via a velvet bag) won the match.

The loser of the match (the "Daffney" chick) ended up getting what looked like at least fifty tacks stuck all over her back and other extremities that had landed on the things. It was crazy stuff.

And these are WOMEN doing this kind of wrestling too. shocked

that's just nuts!!!!

Exactly. It's bad enough seeing dudes drop each other onto beds of tacks or beating each other the head with fluorescent lamps, but it's another story all together when you see to women doing that kind of stuff.

And they were REALLY wrestling... not doing any of that lamer-than-hell catfight, rip-the-other's-clothing-off matches that used to be oh-so-popular on WWE, too.
