Ahh Lexy. You always know just how to get to me. You are the person on the site I least associate with troglodytes. Thank you, dear, although it does strike me as a bit of a left-handed compliment, sort of along the lines of "You're the most athletic person in the entire cemetery." Pan troglodytes are not goats, after all. Ohhh noooooo, the other meaning is one who is reclusive... yes? The whole cave analogy. I guess it was a poor joke. You are the sweetest, sexist by far in a hat, and most bestest wonderfulest communicative man here. Such an alpha male. But you do go into reclusion... Found this on Wiki: Troglodyte may refer to: A member of a primitive race or tribe of cave-dwellers, a caveman. A person who lives in seclusion, a hermit. One of a group of people who built homes into the faces of cliffs, connected by underground passageways, such as in France or Tunisia. Troglodytae, an ancient group of people from the African Red Sea coast. They were said to have led the Turks through secret passages during times of war. Troglodites, a Fictional Arabian tribe, supposedly descending from the ancient Troglodytae, described in Montesquieu's Persian Letters Troglodyte (Dungeons & Dragons), a race of humanoid monsters. Troglodytes may refer to: Troglodytes (wren), a genus of small bird. The Common Chimpanzee, Pan troglodytes. So you're right about the reclusive hermit thing, and I certainly qualify for that. But I was just reading some stuff about the Pan Troglodytes (chimp), so that was stuck in my head. It is a pretty weird name for a small bird, though. I don't really consider myself an "alpha male," though. That suggests a primacy of order that may only exist in psychology books or in certain gatherings of animals. I'm just me, no alpha, no falfa. |

I admire Ozzy Osbourne. I don't know anyone alive that could have done SO many bad things to his body and still rock like him. This is a very good point. It gets boring hearing everyone else say-mom,dad,grandma,grandpa, and Jesus. |

1. Ed Nugent, my S&x offender prof from Ohio University
2. Marlyn Van Dieten, my offender mentor and someone who really could put up with all my insane side comments and acting goofy in skits. 3. My little guy, who saved my soul and taught me what it means to actually love someone. |

I've got this old picture of her sitting on the ground with one of her children that was a baby at the time. I'm tellin you... even sitting on the ground, she did it with class. If I'm half the woman she was, I would be happy.

My Mother. She was the strongest woman I know. Her own Mother left her when she was 5. She and her sisters were taken to be raised by their grandparents. The other two sisters got married at age 16 and my Mom would go from their houses to her grandparents, back and forth, to live. She could carry everything she owned in a paper bag. She met my Dad while still in high school. They became engaged. Then...WWII. He was in the European theater/ Army Air Corp. When he was shot down and capture, she did not know if he was alive or dead for many months. He was MIA. I asked her once how she went on, slept, got to work every day, and she said ,"I didn't have a choice." How prophetic those words would become in my own life. But, he returned, they got married and lived happily ever after, having three children 3 grand children and a married of 53 yrs. I never saw someone conduct herself with such grace and dignity in the face of such loss as she experienced. She was the example I tried desperately to mimic when it occurred in my own life.
Sorry, this was so long. Just sort of bubbled out. |

My Spanish Teacher from middle school was in a severe car accident, when I was in school. She was life lighted to the Mayo clinic, had to learn to walk and do most things over again. She came back to teach in the elementary school ESL classes.

Who do I admire?
I think Batman...Or Bruce Wayne. Although not being a REAL person makes it kind of odd. Just think about it. He grew up in a horrible place, saw his parents murdered and instead of turning into a morally bankrupt drunk playboy (even though he does this for his cover) he used his money and intelligence to fight back against all the evil in Gotham. And when things got tough, he never backed down, never changed his beliefs and took care of his business. Sure all of Gotham thought he was a crazed vigilante but he knew he was doing right. I admire really anyone who rises above their circumstances to do what is right. And I admire his cape |
