Great subject. My first boyfriend was black, and now the last man in my
life is black as well. In between I dated all Hispanics and my children
are all Hispanic, obviously. I've been accused of being "color blind"
and I am content with that. I raise my children the same. I grew up with
a mother who was a racist but at the age of 86 has now "changed her
ways". Her own grandchildren are mixed, and therefore I reminded her of
that.

I don't think that the "color" of someone's skin makes the difference.
It's what's in their hearts. I dated a man who was Black/Dominican. He
constantly reminded me of the errors of the whilte race and basically
lived his life in the past. I am not responsible for what others have
done, only what I do myself. You would think he would have known better.
He was a Dr. of Psychology.

Love has no color as far as I am concerned. I prefer to date men of
color and find that we seem to be more compatible. It's an individual
choice.

Dating outside your race is thinking outside the box and show you are
open minded. There are so many wonderful people out there who are not
the same as you, so always take a chance I say!

Dated a black lady, lady of color, or however you want to say it. Clear
back in 1966, set some people in Omaha Nebraska on their ear. Barb was
a wonderful young LADY & I asked her dad's permission to take her to a
movie, in downtown Omaha. He asked if I was sure. Dated her for about
60 days & then she was interested in another guy. Saw her at 30 yr
reunion, got a hug, kiss & great laughs together. Owe my life to a
black friend, saved me during the riots of 69, in Omaha.
So date a person of different anything, HELL yes, neve rknow what I
might miss is I didn't.

Humm well I don't have a problem with it but have never myself. But I
don't see myself as having a closed mind because I have not. Just never
have meeet someone outside my race that appealed to me. Opps did date
one guy that was Indian, but other than that no I have not. But I don't
see that one must date outside threre race to clarify them as having an
open mind. I have no problem with whom everyone wants to date that is up
to them no one else.
