Topic: Stallworth pleads guilty to DUI manslaughter; gets 30 days | |
---|---|
they are also 2 different states....just like another state issuing tickets for where people park.
one is going over board....the other is a wrist slap |

While I believe both cases are different entirely, how can one sustain a 100 yr sentence and another 30 days for taking a life. Is that the value of life today? Guess it just bothers me that money has such an influence in the outcome of things i also said the 100 years was wrong i fought that point vigorously |

Now you are saying the pedestrian walking home is responsible for being hit and killed by a drunken driver? Is it the dead persons fault he died? is this what you are implying No need to quote sunshine, I remembered it well and stand by what I said, again it pertained to risk and previous conversation had nothing to do with this thread i did not say that you did in the other post i feel if the mans family is ok with what he got then who am i to argue because you are ok with it should I be? no because of what you said earlier you should be or you should not have said it and if the family are ok with it why shouldn't you be (there was no intent and he never had been arrested b4) |

The young man was never arrested before either but he was sentenced to 100 yrs. I am not ok with it, because that's just how I feel. I don't think outcome was fair nor can I call it justice. If the fine is ok with it that's them, not me I don't think it was just. |

well thank you ((((fran))))
and yes you can no doubt but you stated the risk of crossing the road (may i point out the guy that was struck also broke the law by jaywalking) so the risk you stated technically does apply the point you could use is stallworth was doing about 50 mph estimated by police which is 10mph over the limit and i did edit and add that to the post with the quote i am not trying to be mean or anything but someone has to be on the side not represented and i do that regardless of personal feelings if not liberties will be trampled even faster than they are and hey we have talked a lot and if we both always agreed we would bore each other we do not have those extra voice talking to us like some other great person we know ((((((((((((fran)))))))))))))) |

Both seem unfair.
The mentally retarded guy should get way less time, and Mr. Football should do at least a yr. behind bars, along with the other conditions mentioned in the article. |
