my toy...a stick to play in the woods.... no people for thirty miles.... or fishing pole....tv, 2 channels, and mostly news, except when kenedy got shot, then 3 days of that, and no rin tin tin or capt kangaroo.....letters took months.....and the scratchy phonoghraph, wish i still had it!!!

I still have a record player, Journey, Allman Brothers, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel numbered albums in great condition, as well as, some forty-fives and eight tracks. Still have my quiz whiz and original Rubix cube.

I remember when they came out with the cable remote. It was three rows of push button and a dial. We had not had cable until the box remote came out, LOL. When MTV was really all music videos all day long.

Do rotary phones still work on standard phone lines?

I few years back I amazed my kids by plugging in a corded touchtone phone, one with the heavy keys you had to press all the way down, but it wouldn't create the tones anymore. I dialed my mother by flashing the hook... which is really what the rotaries do. They thought it was magic!

My great aunt was one of the last people to actually rent a black rotary phone from AT&T. They actually had to send a person out to come get it becasue she didn't want to give it up.laugh
