Topic: What are you reading? | |

I've done this a couple times in the past and gotten some great book suggestions, so here it is again.
Right now I'm reading A Little History of the World by E.H. Gommbrich (yes, it's more for young adults....my 14 year old son got it for Christmas, but it's really good!) and Storm Front (first book in the Harry Dresden series). |

'Lonesome Dove' by Larry McMurtry
I've only read it a million times. I enjoy it every time and have a different perspective of it every time I read it. Definitely a good read. |

Right now I am reading " A Streetcar Named Expire" by Mary Daheim.
The main character is a B&B owner that is stumbling on one murder or another. There are several in the series. |

Well, just finished the 8th in the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series), am also reading Helen of Troy by Margaret George (historical fiction) and have a re-read of Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett pending. I also have another book I started one night but had 3 going at once and it had to be put on the backburner for a little while

Duma Key by Stephen King. That was a good one. That was the first Stephen King I'd read in years, made me wonder why I'd stopped reading him. |

His Alex Cross series or the The Women's Murder Club series are great reads. Westerns are also a great read. Try William Johnston, Terry Johnstone, Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, Ralph Cotton, or Ralph Compton. |

Thanks everyone for the reading suggestions. I went to see Twilight when it first came out with my friend who was really into those books. I didn't care for the movie and that kind of turned me off from the books.
I didn't know Stephen King had a new book out. I am a big fan so I will have to check that one out. For anyone who is into the classics I just finished Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for the second time. Great book. I think The Picture of Dorian Gray will be next on my list. |

In defense of the book Twilight you might enjoy it. The movie was portrayed in a totally unexpected way. It was more like a romantic comedy. The book has its own unique angle. The saga was interesting, and enjoyable. |
