...most guys on here are so far away from where I live...so, I was just wondering,
If you met someone and hit it off and all seemed great, would you move for someone?

Nope. Had that happen to me one time. She lived in NYC and I lived in St. Louis. She wouldn't leave her job for me and I wasn't about to live in NYC. (Nothing personal to the folks in the big apple.)Needless to say, that was that. Of course, if you are thinking about marriage, might be a different story. As long as it's not NYC.

The someone else would certainly be part of the big picture, but ultimately I'd have to move for me.

This isn't meant to sound selfish, but pracitcal. If things fell apart there would have to be other compelling reaons why a person had made such a life change - a great job or cultural opportunities or whatever. That person would have to be prepared to pick up the pieces in the new place and move on and be happy in single status once again.

I don't think so. My job has taken care not just me, but my family as well. I have too much loyalty towards them to leave. But if they went out of business, then sure.
For the most part I don't think I would attempt for anything serious at long distance.

I agree with you.
I am in Love with a man who has resisted falling in Love with me for a year, because he knew he was moving far, far away, and did not want or need anything to change his mind. Because of the circumstances, we Never had the opportunity to "court" properly, and stuck to E-Mails and Texts, after 6 months or so, we added a few phone calls, and after that, a handful of dates. I respected that, still do, but cannot help what my Heart feels. If given the opportunity, Yes I would make the move, but NOT to his place... I would find my own place, and make the move for ME. I am tired of living where I do, and have done some research on where he is. I believe I would love it there regardless, and that is what Matters! I would like the opportunity to actually "Date" this Man in the Old Fashioned way, having the Comfort of knowing that I can go home to my place when need be, and giving him the opportunity to do the same.
Internet Dating is a Tricky thing.
I have been doing it on and off for years, and know for sure that you never really Know somebody until you have spent endless hours with them on the phone, or in their company. People hide behind Masks or Walls on the Computer...

So I Quote... if you elect to Move...
Do It For Yourself First, and that Lucky Guy Second!

mmmYeah. I don't have much of anything tying me down after I finish school. If the woman of my dreams and a job are waiting on me, I'm there.
