Call it "reverse darwinism", where a species essentially DEvolves with each generation. Essentially put, each new generation ends up being less intelligent than the one before it.

Reminds me of the movie "Idiocracy".

Yeah. That's kinda what "Idiocracy" was all about- an intellectual degradation of common sense and intelligence as it pertains through a population.

Some anthropologists have even speculated that -if this trend of "reverse darwinism" were to continue- that the human race would essentially be split into two groups... the ones with their intelligence still intact, and the ones who have essentially been reduced to mindless worker bees.

And yes- they sighted the ever-increasing disparity between social classes as a leading cause and indicator of their theory.
