Lol. Not the goaties! Been putting up fence at the back of the property. Ugh.

Now I like the smell of tea tree. :). And its doing a far better job of stopping the itching and healing the sores that I caused by scratching.

What's a chigger? what

A nasty itty witty bug that burrows in under your skin to feed, creates red splotchy bumps that itch like hell, especially when hot. They will move unless you smother then either with the chigger-rid meds or in my case tea tree oil worked better.

Yep! That's the best solution...from what I understand, they burrow under your shin while breathing out of their butts...the nail polish suffocates them. However I prefer the more festive approach & use the sparkly polish!

Go to the drugstore get some stuff called Chiggerx I think is the name of it real cheap and works great.

Actually if you catch them quick as soon as you come in and take a cloth with bleach on it and wipe it all over your leg area where you have them the bleach will kill them. No lie have used it many times through the years. bigsmile

Chiggers are also called redbugs by some parts of the country,, i know them both,, well,, cause i had to deal with them when i was younger. They are all over pinestraw and since i camped alot when i was young they got me pretty regular

Ugh. I feel for ya. I think they're immune to pest repellants. They live on trees and brick walls and wherever they can breed. Present them with the opportunity, and they will crawl on whatever they can and are damn near impossible to get rid of.
