Topic: Pregnant man gives birth to 2nd child | |
---|---|
BEND, Ore., June 10 (UPI) -- Oregon resident Thomas Beatie, a transgender man born a female, has given birth to his second child, sources told "20/20." The ABC-TV series reported exclusively that, according to unidentified sources close to Beatie and his wife Nancy, the transgender man had a healthy baby boy. Beatie gave birth to a daughter named Susan Juliette last June and his wife breastfed the infant, as the sources say she will do for the couple's newborn son. Beatie, 35, underwent sex-reassignment surgery after being born a woman named Tracy, but kept his female reproductive organs intact. He said his decision to become pregnant came about because Nancy was unable to bear children, "20/20" reported. After giving birth to his first child, Beatie spoke with "20/20" journalist Barbara Walters about the instant media attention he received after revealing his first pregnancy to the world. |

I am okay with lesbian/gay situations.....but.....
How the heck did the partner breast feed that child?? I was under the physical impression that one could not breast feed unless the breast was milk filled during the course of pregnancy! I sure didn't know that I could just lactate on demand! But...either way I am glad that they have a baby to complete their little family! |

he/she has a uterus that makes her/him a female
no matter what cosmetic changes he/she had done |
Jesus people! Quit having babies! Oh, so a guy had a baby...or...wait, what?
now if those born men could just give birth...my life would be complete
This is completely not amazing in any way.
I have given birth to a few turds. They were all still borns though. |
he/she has a uterus that makes her/him a female no matter what cosmetic changes he/she had done Exactly. So all the hooplah about a "man" giving birth is pure sensationalism. When a man carries a fetus without benefit of a uterus and shoves it out his winkie...then I'll be impressed. |

There are horomones that can be taken to induce lactation, regardless of carrying a baby. Just like there are meds that can dry up milk for women who choose not to breastfeed.
There are also women who are wet nurses that after a pregnancy can for many years continue to feed or pump. |
induced lactation is amazing. regular nipple stimulation can lead to the production of colostrum. regular pumping can then lead to milk...taking reglan can help with such.
adopted babies then can be breastfed, if not exclusively then at least partially...and even men can nurse their children. |
now if those born men could just give birth...my life would be complete ..and my life would be complete, if a woman would volunteer give a birth to my child. It's a strange request nowadays..I know. |
