Now that would be a guy I would have liked to hanged out with. drinker

You would have liked him. He was always full of "sh1t." Doing pranks on his best friend Leeza, etc. While fixing the demolition derby cars he would set her up and get her shocked, little stunts like that. Leeza had a mouth on her and would cuss him out a blue streak. She told stories at the funeral I had never heard. He never had kids of his own, but her daughter loved him like a dad and an ex'es kids thought of him as their dad. He was always helping people out. A young girl talked about how she would call him in the middle of the night when she ran out of gas. He would get up and take her gas and then chew her out about how dangerous it was for her to run out of gas, she needed to be more careful, etc., but he always helped her, etc. He even took on the local cops when they would sit outside the bar to try to catch people leaving the bar and he would take away car keys of people who shouldn't drive and get them a taxi home, etc. The cops and him apparently went nose to nose a few times, but he had the respect of everyone in that town. flowerforyou flowerforyou

I celebrate my son's "Angel Birthday" each year...this year was the 2nd one too...

Gregory was known to have a beer now and then...and he would have loved to sit and listen to your brother!!! although he was only 26...I bet they would have a lot to talk about!!

It is going to become livable one day...yet, we will always embrace the pain...and with it the love!! when you embrace one, you embrace the other! and I believe that the more love in the heart, the more pain we feel...and I believe that you cannot embrace one without the other...

it will become livable...and we will celebrate!! in your own way...in your own time...this will become livable! I believe that with my whole heart...

Prayers and light sent to you and your brother!!

I always liked the lyrics from the song...

When I get where I'm going... especially the chorus...

Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles,
I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Don't cry for me down here.

Cry, laugh, tell his story...celebrate his Angel Birthday!! What a gift he was to so many people!!!

Thank you Lighthouselover -- I am so sorry for your loss, he was so young. flowerforyou flowerforyou He would have loved my brother's stories, he would have people rolling on the floor, he was one of those with the story telling. Thank you for sharing.

And I love that song, actually played it at my dad's funeral in November. Think I surprised the "religious side" of the family when I whipped out a country western song for his funeral, but it was certainly appropriate and the minister even found some scripture to match it.

Thank you again, and, again, I am so sorry for your loss. Take care. flowerforyou  flowerforyou
