So i just signed up for this site, mostly because its free.

and i kinda like this site. not too many experiences yet, i've only had
a profile for about a week. but it seems cool.

Im not good at not pissing off figures of authority, maybe im in
trouble?

Met a lot of great people here -- unfortunately, the Chicago forum is
slightly deader than the original Mayor Daley. For some reason, the
locals just don't seem to like to post and don't seem to have any desire
to participate in the site. Makes you wonder why they signed up!

Best way to get to know people, and to let them get to know you, is to
post in the forums higher up, such as "General" and "Relationship
Advice," and "Sex & Dating," etc. Lots more traffic there, more people,
more topics, just a lot more fun altogether.

I've given up on ever meeting anybody local here, even though there are
hundreds of people from the IL/IN/WI/MI area on the site. They don't
even respond if you try to write them, so screw that. I'll just enjoy
my friends from Canada and New York and California and Pennsylvania,
etc. -- !!

Don't get me wrong, I love this site -- I've met some of the best people
I've ever met in my whole life right here. You've got funny people, and
caring people, and creative people, and people who give great advice,
and people you wish you could just spend a whole day with talking to,
and people who make you think "Why aren't I surrounded by people like
him/her? What a nice planet this could be!"

Just nobody local. And I've been trying to figure it out for months. I
even went so far as to try to get local people to post more in the
Chicago forum. And was totally ignored. So screw those people, they're
probably all on MySpace anyway, racking up 4238 cardboard cutout
friends. Serves 'em right, they're obviously not interested in engaging
in real interactions with real people on a real website....!

By the way, welcome to JSH! I think you'll find it's the best site
there is!

I like the site. It's not so bad. The posting in Chicago is a bit slow
but the people are interesting. Tons of good conversations and fun to be
had here. Also, I enjoy just looking at people's pictures. It's like
online people watching. You never know what you'll see!
