Don't the player, the game.

I was going to quote a few people here after I considered TBRich's post noting the possible difference between a Player and a Pick-up Artist...

In the late 80s early 90s I was a playa... use em and loose em

From the Mid 90s til about the time my Baby Sis passed away I was sort of a Pick-Up Artist... Met and fell in love with Women helped them build their self esteem and got dumped...

In late 2001 I got my heart trounced by a Woman whom has sense become one of the foundations of who I am now... "Until you change you will always be Mr Right-Now... You know exactly how to treat a Woman and give her what she needs to feel special but you are just unavailable"

I also believe there is more than one Girl/Woman that can get you to change your ways:

My Daughter: "Daddy you need to find a wife and stop being lonely till I come to see you"

My Mother: "You have become a good Man, I am Proud of you"

Ex-Wife/Best Friend: "You have changed so much sense we were together, I wish I knew this Cole then."

Ex-Lover/Best Friend: (Her Quote is above)

My Late Baby Sis: Always the person whom if you had not seen her in ten years she still treated you like she had just seen you yesterday.

....

That Said; Yes a Player can Love and can Change... I feel that I have.

Are players capable of falling in love?

A playa is only good and useful to a playee, ladies don't become playees. Don't forget you too, can all be playas. Men are much more sensitive than we give them credit for. The most notorious playas I've known have been female and yes we do fall and we fall hard. we tend to become intrigued with the chase. They think they are chasing us and we CATCH them

I would like to think,anyone is capable of falling in love.
I guess I would wonder, are Players capable of, staying in love?

I dont know, is a player capable of loving fully? I try my best to stay away from these kinds of people, they seem to lack consideration thats for sure.

I would suspect however that many of them have not either been taught things well, or have been screwed over quite alot and hurt often, to be so uncaring for who they may hurt, including themselves.

In order to do that, they're going to have to stop being a player.

The way I was in the early days I would agree, with the second part of your post; However, It was not about caring or being uncaring, it was about trying to fill a void that I thought was missing at that in my life... speaking only for myself of course.

It does beg the question, Do you think a Player has the ability to change? I feel they can because I know I have, as noted in my previous post...
