This issue is not about her candidacy, Its on a lot of senators sites.
Its about a senate bill being put to vote, the house has already passed
it and Bush is planning on Vetoing again.
I wouldn't vote for Hillary if every other candidate died tomorrow.

This issue is about the presidency.

All they are doing right now is to sieze the contol of the presidency.

Once they get in there will be 'excuses' as to why they can not do what
the voice of the people has asked for.

How many times will they waste the time and resources of our house and
senate knowing it will be vetoed.

Want some real laws passed. Look in the congressional record and find
out how many bills have been put in limbo within commettee THAT ARE
IMPORTANT TO OUR EVERYDAY LIVES. Yet they can work out a new one and
have it on his desk in days.

I say get out all the other laws they have placed in commettee and get
those laws to his desk.

I challenge you... Check the congressional record. Bills upon bills
(immigration reform, education, housing, economic, financial etc...)
THERE ARE OVER 400 BILLS IN COMMITTEE many address the very things you
(fanta) have been griping about for months and longer are sitting in
committee waiting for someone anyone to care enough about something
besides getting elected next time to rise up and do the right thing.
How can they put this one thing in front of the president while there
are other matters they have not even addressed (other than to vote to
put them aside).

Nope cant deny that, but that is pollitics. This is too but its an
effort to get Bush to make concessuions and set a date to remove the
troops from Iraq. He is unwilling even though the majority of Americans,
House members, and Senators are for it. He is trying to force the will
of the minority on the majority. Its not a democratic issue either and
is not an attempt to impeach him. Their are several Republicans asking
the same thing from him and their numbers are increasing daily. He just
had a meeting with several Republicans yesterday over this issue. A
meeting in which they were expressing their dissatifaction with the war
and an attempt to talk him into meeting a partial list of their
proposals. Bush is the minority and he is losing support from his own
party. Facts!!!

The war is but one of many problems that has faced the congress in these
times.

I find it odd that they can put aside so many bills in the last year and
yet because this one problems may mean the difference of a higher office
all of a sudden they move it like a hot coal and it becomes a main
issue. While those bills that would hurt thier chances to become
elected sit and gather dust in the storehouse of the forgotton.

I found a reason for the stalling of the immigration bills and posted it
in the congrad tex thread, and a little about my conversation with
senator doles office about it and why in the meantime they dont enforce
the current immigration laws. you should read it

one could say to sleep well at nite, they should pull the troops out so
that no further loss of life will happen to coalition members. one could
say that.

or

one could say that pulling out the troops now would be the catalyst for
untold tens of thousands of human beings dying. of course those humans
wouldnt be americans, or british, or australian, or polish, or korean,
or japanese, or any of the rest of the coalition forces, they would only
be arabs.... shiites and kurds and sunni's, and who really cares if a
muslim dies, they'd still sleep well at nite, would you?

my opinion is anyone who would advocate the early or premature withdrawl
of forces (which are a stablizing force- whether you believe it or not)
and would subsiquently get their wish of a troop withdrawl, can be
placed right on the same level as, i dunno.... sadaam, musolini, tojo,
and hilter himself, cause the end result will be no different than what
any of those a-holes did.
i just couldnt sleep with that, whether you agree with the war or not,
whether you believe in the cause or not. a child, a woman, an innocent
man, dead, and why, because we wanted to get out because we've been
mislead by the media and other forces who wanted to turn this into a
political football. more people in america have already died this year
from violent crimes and vehicle accidents involving drunk drivers than
have died in the entire iraq war, think about that, do something about
that, then talk to me about deauthorizing. and one last comment- the
deadliest day for americans since the war started- virginia tech. sleep
well.

oh but if I had a crystal ball and could see if this war would end in 6
months or 20 years. Man that would be wonderful wouldn't it. If it were
6 months, or a year, or if I could see the Iraqis getting off their ass
and taking it serious I would say yes it is worth staying, but I cant
see that, and all indications like their leaders going on a 2 or 3 month
vacation, 75% of Iraqis wanting our troops out, and 64% thinking its ok
to attack American troops. Others like my nephew who is 8 yrs old most
likely heading to Iraq ten yrs from now, and the fact that the
insurgents are getting better at fighting our troops, and the supply of
weapons to them coming from more and more different countries. Or the
sophistication of their weapons improving to the point that 6 choppers
are now credited to the insurgents, or Saudi Arabia supplying them with
soviet sniper rifles. I cant see staying just so more and more Americans
can die, instead I find it appalling, and anyone who thinks we should
stay blind.

i hear your angst brother, and i do understand your compassion and feel
it myself, but pulling out and knowing not guessing that thousands of
people will die is not moally right no matter how we feel about it. you
know we all volunteered for the service, no one twisted our arms, hell
youve been there yourself. point being, we knew the risk.

on iraq, just because (and i do know this to be true with my experience
over there) m ost of the men are lazy want something for nothing types,
does not mean that others around there sorry butts should die.

i disagree with your numbers on the want us out, and thinking its ok to
kill us, dont know where you got them, but it wouldnt surprise me if it
were the over inflated numbers being touted by some democrat
congressmember.

6 choppers, not even close to the real and much higher number, i will
