When we heard the news that Elvis had Died I was working as a cook at "Hermando's Famous Restaurant" Lakewood Co. They started playing one of his songs and I said "Is it live, or is it Memorex" When John Lennon died me and a friend James L. were in the grocery store in Ft. Collins Co. buying sodas for mixed drinks. We were having a little dinner party,(both of us married at the time}listening to the new Talking Heads album. We kinda heard it in the grocery store, someone had a radio playing music, and the news came on. Went back to the dinner party and turned on the radio and sure enough he was dead. When Princess Diana died we were watching SNL and playing scrabble, late on a Sat. night. |

it got caught in a garage door-I was helping a friend- (ouch!) and in the hospital the ER doctor told me it had just come over the news! |
