communication, tell him/her if it hurt, the other one who loves someone would usually change the way they go about things . if not there is no relationship right? then time to move on.

What if?...I would want out, if "I" relized it.No one, should be in a abusive relationship.
then the partner should take the insentive to do something for the sake of the relationship
they might realize it when they receive the restraining order papers
They know it,they just don't want to admit it. The other person should just get out.Don't walk a way,run away.

might not find out until its too late

Then if they are lucky I would point it out to them.
But probably I would tell them as I am walking out the door or over the internet or phone...because I do not like to be around anyone who is abusive... F them |

trouble is, especially for women, once you are in an abusive relationship...it's like sinking sand. You wanna get out but the more you struggle the further it sucks you in. The longer you stay in the relationship, the more the damage occurs. Get out as early as you can.

What if he/she doesn’t realize his/her behavior is abusive in the relationship? They never do realize that they are abusive. They just believe they are right. |

What if he/she doesn’t realize his/her behavior is abusive in the relationship? They never do realize that they are abusive. They just believe they are right. I totally agree. I tried many time to talk to my X and to get him to go with me to counseling. Our marriage wasn't important and when he found someone else he liked better he left. |
