Dude, I know this is a personal opinion but there are animals I refuse to eat. Whale is one of them. That is like cannibalism to me. Can't help ya. Why not spear a dolphin while you are at it?

Most whales are endangered. They provide a great service to our oceans and world. Why would you even consider being so not only irresponsible but cruel?

First of all, I like whales and I don't want anyone to kill any for any reason. With that said, I was in Alaska a few times for different reasons and for quite a long period. The Inuit Natives are allowed to take Bow Whales for food and whatever else they want to use them for.

I went to an Indian Pow Wow in Fairbanks and met one very nice Inuit who was also an artist. We talked about their eating of whale meat and blubber. It is probably illegal for them to ship whale outside Alaska, but if you contacted one on the net, and sent him/her a few bucks, they would probably send you a piece in dry ice since the fishing community up there ships fish everywhere.

Eating whale is not politically correct.

For the record people, indegenious people especially, in certain circumstances and throughout the course of history, depending on the geography, have had to resort to whale as a means to survive cause that was the only thing within reach.
