true to both but doesnot mean i would not try it. I would infact. I dig trying new and exotic things. Then go to Alaska or Japan or one of those places where it is still legal. Because in the U.S., unless you are of an indigenous culture where it's still allowed for cultural reasons, it is illegal. And, I notice you are sidestepping the issues of it's morally, ethically and environmentally irresponsible. And illegal. And cruel, whale hunting is one of the most cruel things imaginable. It's completely unnecessary. They protect the oceans, therefore they protect the world because without the oceans, we would all cease to exist. |

@ Suzininva I agree, I only support it on the grounds of human survival. But not all whales are endangered mind you and I suppose in certain cultures be it Asian, Japan it is consumed and happens to actually be a delicacy. And those in the Asian cultures are not indegenious.

And those in the Asian cultures are not indegenious. Are you serious? Asian cultures are not "indigenous?" Do you know the meaning of the word? It was used for survival in certain cultures, then it became "fashionable" and a "delicacy," which is why in some parts of the world it still goes on. Because of people like you who want to appear to be cool, trendy and fashionable. The fashionable and delicacy lame-ass excuses are why most whale species are either on endangered lists or are teetering on the brink or already extinct. Methinks you need to learn something about the world you live in before you start spouting off "facts" in order to seem hip. It only makes you look like an uneducated jerk. |

For the record people, indegenious people especially, in certain circumstances and throughout the course of history, depending on the geography, have had to resort to whale as a means to survive cause that was the only thing within reach. i'd starve first. literally. |
