oh by the way, the reason Halliburton got the contract without bidding?
there ARE no other companies in the world big enough, with the infrastructure capable of doing that job in the entire world. They could have opened for bids and wasted a couple of months and Halliburton would have been the only company to submit a bid |

a person can believe anything they choose
but let's try not to change history to fit those beliefs |

I do find a double standard a lot lately. when it comes to Bush...it's only one man doing things. people forget about the House and Senate. but when it comes to BHO....it's never his fault. can't have your cake and eat it too.

but didn'y you know? BHO is a closet Muslim and not even a US citizen and refuses to say the Pledge of Alegiance?
we get the same revisionist history from the other side. and the sad thing is people believe it becaue it fits their preconcieved notions mostly people are just stupid and the PR people and the spin doctors (of both sides) play on that stupidity |
|

that is why I'm sick of the left vs right. I don't care if those in charge are rep, dem or ind....as long as they are there for the people and remember the constitution

Spoken like a true Republican...!
Bravo! I just hope that if and when Obama should make a mistake that will end up costing thousands of American lives, that we shift the blame to anyone but him, from the British Intelligence to the U.N. to U.S. senators and congressmen. Makes perfect sense. And you are right... Attempting to close down Gitmo and changing our foreign policies really shows Obama following in Bush's footsteps. Ok, now google me some more pro-Bush propaganda... |

I'm not a Republican
but I'm not a self deluded lackwit either |

Wow... For eight years he didn't seem concerned what Bush got this country into, two failed wars, failed foreign policies, the Gitmo fiasco, and a failed economy. But NOW Cheney's a concerned citizen? The real concerned citizens are the ones who voted for change in 2008...! he wasn't concerned about what Bush was doing because HE was the one pulling the strings....lol |

What is with the continued hate of Bush. My god he's gone already. Hell, I didn't like his administration either. And I do believe he lied (or colored the truth) to further his agenda, which may or may not have been sold to him by Cheney. But, like I believe with every president that I've known before him (except Nixon), I believe he wanted what was best for the country. He was elected twice (don't even start) and he had his time and now he's done. Let the man go home and live in peace.

funny...I can't remeber any VP really speaking out a lot I remember when Doonsbury used to Lampoon Bush senior when he was VP under Reagan for never really saying anything. In fact he was always invisible in the cartoon.... just a word bubble. |
|
|
|
I just can't think of any VP really that had a whole lot to say when they were in office

funny...I can't remeber any VP really speaking out a lot Funny... I can't remember any FORMER VP speaking out at all...! And Gore doesn't count cuz he's been speaking out about environmental issues, and not criticizing the government every other day. |

Gore had quite a bit to say when he was out of office.
In office I think it's the VP's job to attend events, shake hands, smile and shut up. |
