does anyone else suffer from lack of vehicle issues?
i need to know that i'm not the only one who walks everywhere and thinks ohio needs more public transit.

you are one of a kind darlin... but I dont think you'll save the planet on your own... so.. if it makes ya feel better... walk, use public transportation.. whatever.. but you won't even take a small dent out of what is being done so don't feel responsible or inconvenience yourself in the short time you visit this third planet from the sun. The amount you do or don't wont amount to a hill of beans and unfortunately you can't change everyone, even though you think you can. So, my advice is to find something economical to drive so that you can gget to the places you need to be that might make a difference in someones life. And to put aside the thought that one person can save the planet. Unless.. you decide to run for president in '12.. then.. you have a good start if the majority of the electoral votes falls your way.. but being that they are lobbied by the automotive and oil companies... I still dont think you have a snowballs chance in H E double toothpicks. Some times the truth hurts and it isnt what we want to hear.. But... nevertheless... it is the truth.

Mass transportation is a must need for our nation as a whole. There are thousands of great things that can happen with the result of restructuring our transportation systems, which can thereby give us less accidents, less pollutants, less destruction of natural habitats, and other things that can benefit for not only human beings in general, but as well for the health of the Earth at large.

Of course this is socialism, and many people are ego-driven maniacs who think nothing but themselves at the expense of others. Greed and false sense of independence is the motivation of why we still have a cesspool of bull****s and unecessary highways and automobiles.

Besides that. I am forced to drive my Chevy 08 fugly Cobalt because PARTA does not drive buses that are green-friendly and I can't afford a electric car right now because of my other living costs has to be taken care of.

Pants:

Don't but into that man-made global warming crap. Do the research & don't believe most of what the greenies are telling you. Not to bog down the thread, but a report released last yr from the Admiral Byrd Institute based @ OSU stated that a polar core sample representing over 50 yrs of ice accumulation should no significant carbon dioxide impact. Meaning, the planet may be warming, but we ain't causing it.

I agree that more mass transit is needed. And believe it or not you have more options for mass transit where you are in NE OH than we do here in central OH.

Here's another 1 for you. What creature releases more methane into the atmosphere than any other, any it's NOT what you think you've been commonly mislead to believe.

peace-out

i can relate. i used to live on the northend of toledo, not having a car isnt a problem cause everything is close or you can jump on a bus. but now i am living out in the rural country area and there is nothing for miles.
if it wasnt for my job and my playstation and thank the lord the internet i would loose it.
going to get worse in the winter, wont even be able to go outside.

I don't have car because I'm completely blind in my left eye and limited sight in my right eye.
