The open sores are from picking at themselves. I understand that they sometimes feel like bugs are crawling on them and will pick at themselves.

Where the hell did you hear that from? What you understand is wrong. I used to be a meth junkie and in turn hung out with a lot like me. Nobody I ever knew thought there were bugs crawling on 'em. It's met, not a bad acid trip. Their faces look like that because the meth causes them to break out with acne. They get obsessed with popping these zits to the point they begin to scab over, then become obsessed with picking at the scabs and just making them worse and worse over time. I've known a couple of people who have done this to themselves, and always for the same reasons, never because they were trippin' and though bugs were crawling on them.

2. Meth can mess with your skin.
Sores and scabs are common among meth users who methodically pick at their skin because they feel compelled to do so, or scratch it because they think there are bugs crawling underneath it.

I still don't believe it. That's from a biased website.

It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not. I was a meth user for years. I have no problem telling you it IS REAL...REAL...REAL....These faces with sores and holes and teeth that are rotting is REAL!!!!! The face tells all. I was lucky...I went to the dentist...I still have most of my teeth. I have scars from the meth.

I know the faces are real. I have experienced and seen it first hand. You evidently didn't read my whole post. I said I have seen some of my friends pick their faces apart; I too had some scabs on my face. Fortunately I quit doing meth before I destroyed it. But it was not because we thought bugs were under our skin. Don't get me wrong, I am not defending meth or its users one bit. It is a horrible horrible drug, as are most. But I just hate bad anti-drug propoganda.

When I first started doing it they were called speed bugs. That was what it was called. That was in the mid to late 70's.
I am so glad you quit. It is a hard life, miserable, and sick.

I still have peole come up to me when they see me and say things like "I truly thought you would be dead by now."

Nice to hear stuff like that, huh? As much as I feel like hitting those people (since most of them were just as bad off), they're right. I should be dead.

It used to bother me; it doesn't now. I just feel good about myself and know they are right. It brings me back to the sad reality that I was really really bad. I used for more than twenty years. One speed freak to another....good ta see ya. Glad you are around. I have lost a lot of friends.

It's not anti-drug propaganda. There are some people that have used meth and crack that pick bugs off themselves and the bugs aren't there.

I'm not so sure they weren't there. I have actually seen something fall off on the table. And I wasn't the only one. I was so bad that I got out the magnifying glass and looked at them. I tell ya....they were there.

It's been years since I have used. I still don't sleep much as I would like too. It was at one time just a tool to stay sober and get more done. It was kinda fun to go day in and day out. It all changed somewhere along the way.

I watched that as far as it would let me. It is ashame it removed some content due to violation of regulations?
This video made me very nervous. Memories and knowledge.
This video was mostly about cocain and heroin...a little different in the actions but ohhhh so close.
Everyone in school should see this. This very well could be a deterant. I know if I had seen this; it could have given me an insight to make an intelligent and informed decision.
Thank you for the link.
