Topic: This is my state...

I love Alabama. Good food, funny made up words, and girls with that southern drawl! Oh my. That and when order a drink, they ask what kinda coke do you want. I went on a trip to Missouri with my family and I thought it was funny that Nobody calls it a coke. I was actually corrected by a waitress. Its "Ice cold Coca Cola" or they get confused. I swear I'm not making this up. You should know that in deductive logic, one must hear more expressions of many people saying "Coca Cola" within all of the state of Missouri before you come to a general conclusion that all people in that state says only "Coca Cola." We were in Missouri for two weeks. Six days in Branson and seven in the small town nearby where my grandparents live. In both places, at restaurants and otherwise, I never heard anybody refer to it as anything else. Do I think that applies to everyone in the state? Of course not, that would be an over generalization. But in reacting with dozens of people, in and out of restaurants, I never heard one person call it a coke. Not even my grandparents. Fine. Have you combed the entire state seeking out people to see if they do only say "Coca Cola?" Probably not, not a lot of people go on with a thorough scientific field research while visiting the grandparents. You could be right that the majority of the people where your grandparents live, probably prefer to call it "Coca Cola." I have! And I talked to the chicken marrying guy too!

But if I could change minnesotas license plates from land of 10,000 lakes I would. It would say "Minnesota- land of 10,000 lakes, 10,000 child molesters, 10,000 out of state welfare recipients, and 6 fish.

What about ponds? I think Ohio win the battle on having more natural and artificial ponds. We got lots of rivers too! And man made ones!

Illinois, a state with an education standard of no other state in the country. As long as you can sound out vowels, you pass english, as long as you can count to at least 10, you pass math...history? What's that?

Yep, that's old school. I've never heard it except maybe in a Tom Sawyer book.

The Tooth Brush was invented here in Mancelona, MI if it had been invented any where else they would have called it the Teeth Brush. For some odd reason, there are a lot of folks flying a Confederate Flag. One of the worse Tattoo/Teeth ratio in the nation.
