Hiking...in shorts...the storm blew in during the afternoon. GEEZ...it was cold and wet!

I think we might have still BBQ'd though - we did that in the dead of winter (would move the grill to just outside the door on the back patio and keep the area shoveled) just to annoy the neighbors with the yummy smell. Hilarious and delicious all at the same time - what's not to like?

I've BBQed when it was 20 below out. Nothing taste better than than a grilled pork chop, when the wind chill is 40-50 below, I tell you.

Not true. The thing about Global Climate change that is popularly advocated by the former Vice President is that in some theories in the scientific community, certain places in the Earth will see significant shift of traditional weather patterns caused by the deterioration of the Polar Ice Caps. See ya around.

I have to say we have in Ohio seen dramatic change in our winter patterns. I can say a lot less snow than it was during 2 decades ago. Of course my limited ancedotal experiences of remembering my entire existence is only about 31 years and that don't amount much for any credible scientific input to conclude that the Earth's Climate is on the path of instability.
hes right.... the winters have been less an less. I remember growing up theres was always a ton of snow.. now they barley get any! Global warming is real.. people just chose to ignore it because they don't understand it.
montana, and oregon both saw the worst winters this year than they have seen in 60 and 40 years respectively..

how is it that the winters are less??

most of the country this year saw worse winters than they have seen EVER!!

texas had snow... a LOT of snow this past winter!!

please try again!

there is a shift in weather EVERY YEAR!!
there is a progression to the change.. and it goes up and down..

try a historical search on the weather patterns for your state...
see how that goes for ya..

Hmpf. St. Louis got in the 90's today. That's not supposed to happen until the end of July and August.

A hundred years ago in London, people used to ice skate on the River Thames in the winter when it had frozen over. Today it doesnt get anywhere cold enough to do that.

And like most other people are saying here, its all due to a natural change in the climate.

It was only 10,000 years ago that the last ice-age finished(I Think, someone may be able to tell me otherwise).

I do not doubt for one minute that us humans are doing some major harm to the planet, but i do doubt that we are affecting the weather as dramatically as people make out.

Our biggest problem is the using up of finite power resources. That is something that could become a major issue within our lifetimes, if not, our kids lifetimes.

But i say fook it all. We'll probably blow eachother up at some point in the next hundred years anyway, so i reckon living for the day is the way to go. Once us mere humans are gone, the planet will repair itself in no time. And if it doesnt, it doesnt matter anyway.

one Pinatubo/Montserat/St Helens type volcano puts out more carbon than all of the history of mankind combined

St. Louis is seeing less snow too. It is very different then it was when I was a child. We have been missing out on spring time too. It's sooo much shorter now.
