My mom past Wed and a song keeps playing on the radio but I get too upset to wait to hear who it is by. It is a country song that says something about being on the wings of angels or doves I am not sure. Its a song about passing away to soon but not to worry because they are happy. So that is all I can rememeber if anyone has ideas or something they think it might be tell me so I can check thanks.

Hmmm....I don't know of a country song like that, unless it's been redone. I remember a song about 10 or 15 years ago called "Wings Of An Angel", and it was by a group called Skin.

the only one I can think of is on the wings of a snow white dove. Dolly Parton did a versoin of it

It is called "wings of a dove"...I hope this helps

Sissy's Song - Alan Jackson

Why did she have to go
So young I just don't know why
Things happen half the time
Without reason without rhyme
Lovely, sweet young woman
Daughter, wife and mother
Makes no sense to me
I just have to believe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

Loved ones she left behind
Just trying to survive
And understand the why
Feeling so lost inside
Anger shot straight at God
Then asking for His love
Empty with disbelief
Just hoping that maybe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

It's hard to say goodbye
Her picture in my mind
Will always be of times I'll cherish
And I won't cry 'cause

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me
Don't worry 'bout me
Don`t worry 'bout me

Thanks, I kept thinking of Concrete Angel by Martina Mcbride, but that is about child abuse, not the death of someone's mom.

Just for another idea this is the song we had played when my Dad passed away 5 years ago

Vince Gill - Go Rest High On That Mountain

My heart goes out to you I have felt that pain too many times.

Here is the link to the song above as well

Those are good ones nj/kristi. Brandy, you could try to call the radio station also, and describe what you are looking for. I'm sure they would know.

I am so sorry for your loss. flowerforyou

An so sorry for all of the hurt you have to endure, Know exactly how you feel.
My Mom passed away suddenly 2 weeks ago.

So sorry for your loss.
But at least they are in a better place with no more suffering and pain of these feeble bodies.

My Grand mother passed away 2 years ago, lived with me at the time.
We were very close as I was her baby.so to speak.
Anyway... I move a lot of her stuff to my new house, including a lot of musical whatnots, they have not been touched for 2 years...since they were put into their place... then strangely, on the 2nd anniversary of her passing.. one of them started playing.
I seriously think she was trying to tell me that it wasn't the end.
That she is still watching over me.
