Summer is starting to ebb here..although officially it is almost
winter..I live in the sub tropics.

So gardens have been going in, (it is too hot here in summer)... snow
peas, beans, sugar snap peas, brussel sprouts, strawberries, cherry
tomatoes, migngonette lettuce, silverbeet, cherry and pear tomatoes,
chives, sweet basil, sunflowers, (the giant russian king ones).

Pumpkins on an old burn pile, potaotoes in the old lawn clippings, corn,
to share with the birds, and whatever I can find...that we want to eat.

I've got gardens I tend that I started planting when I moved into this
house back in the spring of 2003.

To date, this is what I've planted (in no particular order):

A Colorado Blue Spruce (I call him Blue Spruce Bruce). He is over 8 feet
tall now!

A Japanese Maple.

25 or more rose bushes of varying colors/kinds in my rose garden, with
many more to go.

Canna Lilies out by my front fountain in red and yellow.

Some other stuff out there..can't think of the name. Some yellow and
green "monkey grass." And that surrounds a fountain with an angel
sitting on the back of it.

Ten Black and Blue Salvia plants ...and they grow like MAD!! Beautiful
black and blue flowers mid-June until late fall. Only bad thing is, they
smell like cat piss.

I've planted Azalea bushes and daisies, and purple sage (salvia) and
Rhododendrons and Asiatic lilies and marigolds and red sage (salvia) and
that's surrounding another fountain that sits in front of my house, that
has two kissing fairies ..umm, a boy and a girl with wings, to
clarify..lol..in the midst of it.

then, in my back yard on a section atop a stone wall i've got another
fountain (that's kind of "geometrical") and it's surrounded by climing
miniature roses, goldenrod, purple sage.

The japanese maple's directly below the wall, and in front of a patio
that I built.

I also have some barberry bushes.

And I planted ground cover of various types.

And I planted five burning bushes in my front yard along my cedar fence
that are growing like mad, but I'm really disappointed because they
haven't "burned" yet. They stay green, pretty much. Probably has to do
with the Ph/Acid/Alkaline levels in the soil.

I've planted a few other things, too, but I can't think of any more
right now.
