It interesting how when 9-11 happened it seemed as if everyone forgot about pearl harbor...
We seem to be turning into what we hate. They attacked us so we go over and slaughter them. America is a great country...but how far will we go before we realize it's gone too far? |

just my random thoughts......
GOD..........one being....yet many "gods" one who interacts with everyone based on their own cultural understanding.....yet one God Anyone who says they DO NOT CARE......has very little to talk about. Change only comes from the caring. What a different place we might be in if more people "cared" about something beyond themselves.......... |

Excellent post Geekofthetenth. You said it well.
Christians have had their Holy Crusade and their Spanish Inquisition. The Christian religion has been used to nearly decimate Native Americans along with other native groups like the Aztecs and Incans. I don't group Christian zealots with all Christians, most of whom of pleasant decent people. And I wouldn't group all muslims and people of arabic descent with terrorists. This person acts like 9/11 was the most horrendous thing in the history of mankind. Tragic, sure, do people have a right to be angry, of course but if viewed in historical context...we did drop 2 atomic bombs in Japan, how many little kids and babies and old people in hospitals did that kill? Japan seems to have gotten over it and don't hate us anymore. In historical context there have been far greater tragedies. I have a feeling that this kind of reaction is what the terrorists want, they'd prefer it for americans to attack and denigrate all muslims and people of arabic descent since it gives them the ability to recruit and continue a cycle of war and hatred. |

If you don't mind my adding And we did not even go after the perpetrator of 9/11 anyway so we killed more innocents over 9/11. |
