I don't care how many hundreds of years go by that families have to say goodbye and hope for the best when it comes to the military. Each time is a tear drop, a totally individual experience.
I wish him well and only safety.

he will be going to paris island for basic training...which thank God is not really that far and I will not have a problem when he graduates to get down there to see him...it is in south carolina I went there to see my brother graduate when he was in the Marines! Your son will emerge a MAN after that training!! Marines rule!

I will tell him....I am feeling a bit better...just found out he was leaving sunday about an hour ago...thought he would be leaving next sunday... Well hopefully you will spend some time with him Sat night make him a nice home cooked meal his favorite steak baked potato and mack and cheese garlic bread...tis what he wanted and what he got.. |

but I found out today my son leaves sunday for basic training for the marines...I knew the day was coming...
