If you knew without a doubt that we were in the end times, and that any
child born right now, would suffer the horror descriped in Revolations,
would you continue to bear children and subject them to the unknown
tortures to come?

Aye in a heart beat.

for they would be innocent.

And the wonders they would see... Those wonders will be far greater then
the horrors.

I can't imagine that a child suffering maldies from hunger or disease,
seeing the wonder in the world that Revolations suggests.

No...I wouldn't.. They may be innocent, but. they would have to deal
with the mess I let happen..

I would not wish this on my enemies, much less; those I love and
cherish!!

Don't we allready have war, rumors, pestulance, famine and the like.

If this were the end times they are bout over.

If these are not the end times it will be a long time before the come.

Alright, I'm usually not one for posting in this thread but we are
indeed near the end times.........Anyone ever hear of the 3 secrets of
Fatima? Well the third secret was that 2 popes after John Paul (Who
recently passed) will be the Anti Christ. He will make peace between our
countries and make everyone (including Christians) believe that he is
Holy.........He will reign for 3 years and then we will have our Glory
with Christ.

Just read Revelations..........Hidden messages all over the place, also
in Luke.......Missles will be fired at Christ when he appears and he'll
just block them out of his path. I do read when I can and my step dad
went to college to be a Pastor but never finished.

Honey..

I am not familiar with the scenario you put forth..But, I see the end
coming..

The only regret I have, is that we have not prepared our children to
deal with this!

I blame Spider, and all the silly.."God will" people!!

God meant us to adjust, adapt and survive..On our own!!
That is why we are "His/Her" children...

AB, yes, we have always had that. I'm not talking about the normal
here. So imagine that there is no place on Earth that will escape what
is happeining in Iran, Iraq, Africa. Imagine that you are fighting to
survive, with not enough food or water, knowing that this will continue
until the final judgement, which may be many many years away. Would you
make a conscious decision to concieve a child to live that existence?

God said for us to live our lives as if he wasn't coming but to also be
prepared as if he was coming this very moment. I am a Born again
Christian, but I don't really blab about it on here. I usually avoid
these forums, so I don't get in any deep discussions that may lead to
arguments.............But I understand what you're all saying and
appreciate and respect your beliefs.

I have faith in the glory of god.

We will pull through and in order to do that we must continue to have
children.

They will be the next great generation.

And may be our salvation as a species.

but I am realistic. They will have a hard life. As will we all. Still
my faith says we can change that scenario. We have free will.

Our destiny is in the hands of those that strive.

Peace will come upon us if we reach for it as a multitude.

I have found talking with many youth and children, over the past few
years, their perspectives are changing, in comparison to what ours were
like.

Many of the young people around that I speak with, say they choose not
to have children, until they are way into their thirties..and some are
saying they don't plan on having any.

I wonder, at times, where this mindset has evolved..is it tv?

The media, and glossy magazines?

They also seem to have an awareness of their natural world around them,
that many in my generation didn't.

Young people appear to have a wider picture of their world.

My point in all this?

We are raising the leaders, the 'doers' of the future, and our future,
as older people.

From where I sit, I believe that the 'end' is at critical point, for
there needs to be 'turn around' solutions enforced now, and over the
next few years.

With focus less on money, and more on preserving what limited resources
we have, forests, rivers, lakes, and the minerals that the plants and
animals depend of to keep the balance.

The scales have tipped way, way to the uh oh!...end of the spectrum.

bibby I agree we have not prepared our children well for what is to come

Yes, I do think if we raise the children in the spirit of
preserving rather than destroying we will have a chance to
maybe get the scales into a better balance.
But the main point would be to live what we want to teach first.

Yes, Andrea,I agree, we as parents, need to walk the walk.

Not just talk the talk, and point at others to blame.

I agree whole-heartedly.

I really wanted to respond to this post but had a hard time gathering
the words, lol. AB said it right, in that there is war, famine, etc.
now. Maybe not in our backyards but it is there and has been for many,
many years. Some chose to ignore it, turn a blind eye and live life
like it isn't happening. Blind ignorance.

I agree with invisible's thinking, that we should carry on bringing
children into the world with preservation not destruction. Every small
part we each have can and will affect change. Although there will at
some point be one or many who stand to destroy, no matter what we do or
how many of us stand together to preserve. That much I do believe. It
is a sad fact and fate we will endure or our childrens children will.
Far too much power and corruption to some people who never have enough
and want world domination.

Redy...your question reminded me so much of a series of books I read
some time ago, "Left Behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkinds. 12
books, novel of the earth's last days........ I sure don't want to live
through what may be coming nor would I want any children I may have to
either. I don't want to believe we are headed on a path of mass
destruction and would do everything I could to chagne that. Power and
politics, greed and corruption, twisted religion.........all the forces
of an evil.

I wouldn't bring a child into the horrors that this world has NOW, much
less during times described in Revelation.

its time for matriarchs to have a shot at running the world men have to
much testosterone running through their veins to make logical decisions
reguarding the welfare of mother earth and all its inhabitants.women are
heaps smarter than men and motherhood enhances their intelligence and
studies have shown this to be true.i reckon men would still come to the
party they can lift heavy things.bigsmile
