Topic: USA and its politics | |

Where will the United States be in exactly December 23rd 2056?
What will its political idealogy be then? Will it be the same? Will this country have a major war? Will it have civil unrest leading to a civil war? Will it remain a world power? Will it have a chance to reconstruct the world to a more peaceful union amongst other nations? What do you think will happen to this nation in the future? |

you almost be assured that the reality of the future will bear no resemblance to anything you predict "LIfe is the stuff that happens to you while you're making other plans" -Lennon |

Whats happening on December 23 2056? Oh nothing in particular. I just thought I put in a random date in the future. Just wanted to see who can actually predict the future. It would be interesting for those who really spend alot of time in economics, governments, and political idealogies. Usually they can kind of tell you what could happen with great detail. Perhaps those days are gone. |

Well..I know I'll be dead so yeah I can predict that future but as far as political climate? Environmental climate?
Do you really think we'll be around long enough to find out? |

No but my children will be so it would be interesting to see some predictions. Wow is the creativity in America so bad in today's society or is it just the lack of effort in giving an opinion of what could happen in the future? |

I just have no clue. I was book marking this thread Yeah it is a hard one to answer for we don't know, but some people have some great ideas on what could happen. They are interesting to read up on when they occur. |

OK...OK...
Politically, I think our society will be somewhere between The Matrix and Animal Farm by 2056. |

Texas is already talking of seceeding Yes I read that in a few posts here on mingle2. I think a few other states are thinking of it also right? So the country will be all kinds of various sections. Perhaps you are right |

I would like to think along the lines of Star Trek as a society model. Perhaps we will get smart and realize how messed up we really are and adopt a philosophy along the lines of the Venus Project?
No Rulers, Dictators or Government, just people taking care of people to better themselves? Maybe put a little pride back into our basics like farming and creating new technologies, and lose the fear factor BS we are being fed? We can start with a little tar and a few feathers and a march on Washington, DC Next stop..... NATO! |
