My friend recommended a CD to me -- the Garden State soundtrack - on it is the best song I've ever heard that I didn't know I liked -- Zero 7's In the Waiting Line

You can watch it here

Anyone like Zero 7 or the song
Have any recommendations of music like this
Have any comments on songs like this - that you just bumped in to?

this is gonna sound weird, but i was going through my old cds just last week and found my old pretty in pink soundtrack cd, i know, i know..I loved that movie when i was a teen..

but it has some cool songs on it...not just the popular kinda romantic teen pop stuff (which okay, i love anyway) but some cool kinda alternative stuff...

i was digging it...

Someone suggested Hinder - "Lip's of an Angel" as well as "Addicted" Saving Able and "Bad Girlfriend" by Theory of a Deadman.

All of these are so outside of my normal genre of music, but I was pleasantly suprised by these songs.

The only song I remember from that soundtrack is Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness." It is a great song....

Check out early to mid Porcupine Tree, Doves, and the Gathering. Not sure if you'll like them but they all mix ambient electronica with varying degrees of rock.
