I think they should tax all junk foods and make them unavailable for purchase with Food Stamps. Fruits, veggies, meats and some spices should only be covered be the FS program. then i guess there should be an across the board 50% increase in the amount of food stamps awarded i think they should tax people butting into the lives of others and trying to they others how they should live their lives |

i think they should tax people butting into the lives of others and trying to they others how they should live their lives One thing I remember. You can't purchase anything taxable with Food Stamps. So, if they tax junk foods that will eliminate those items from our tax burden. |

They don't charge the patron taxes on food items purchased with food stamps. |

interpretation leads to the wrong thought process The sale of food or drinks served, prepared, or sold in or by restaurants, lunch counters, cafeterias, hotels, amusement parks, taverns, stadiums, theaters, or similar places of business is taxable, with few exceptions. Bottled water that contains flavoring or carbonation, or bottled drinking water that is included in the price of a meal is taxable. now you interpret what is meant by food or drinks |

I just looked over my HEB reciept and there is no tax on food items.
I figgure junk type items, soda, chips, ice cream, etc., are not necessary to sustain life. If they tax sodas and other junk items, that would take them off our backs. Don't want to come across as a BHO advocate but, he makes sence with this one. I also wish he'd get that youth program going. He promished to whip thoses fat kids into a healthy shape. |
