i was talking to this young lady for a while and then one day ....no phone calls ...no emails...no nothing....no explaination... ....so my question to the ladies is...why do some ladies do this??? Its incredibly disrespectful of a persons feelings to do something like that.

You've usually got unboring people to deal with--as targets for your wit and banter. Now, I remember. Sunday night. Everyone east of Vancouver has gone off to bed. Their weekend ended, and ours is the last gasp until the earlybirds show up.

It's simple- they're flakes. They're out there, and in great number, too. It's best to just ignore and avoid them, as they'll give you nothing but frustration and heartache.

I've been there, too and I agree with the poster who said they probably just found someone else they were more compatible with. Or, who knows, maybe they were/are married or in a LTR that was on the rocks for a bit, and they patched thngs up with their SO, or maybe they're busy with work or they're having computer problems, etc, etc... The point is that it really doesn't matter so much WHY they did this, but how you react to it that's key. IMHO, the best thing to do is get up, dust yourself off, realize that it most likely has nothing to do with you personally and move on. There really are plenty of fish in the sea.
