I know they're quite different TV series, but my neighbor introduced me to them. I've seen the entire OZ series, which freakin' rocks and I plan to own it. It brings up so many life issues and makes such great points. If you're too conservative or have issues with homosexuality it definitely won't be for you. But for anyone who's open and ready to see what the real prison world is like and to watch and learn, this series is definitely for you.

Now Dexter surprised me because I am NOT into blood, gore, or watching such things. I can't even watch CSI because it's too gory for me. But Dexter is somehow different. He's a sociopath who is also a great cop. It's really intriguing and so different from any series I've ever seen. I've only seen the first and second season because my neighbor says the third isn't out on DVD yet.

OZ was on HBO and Dexter was on Showtime, but Dexter was sometimes on regular cable because mom told me she caught it. That is why I had never heard of them. I've never had HBO or Showtime or any of those special channels. I'm glad my neighbor introduced me to the two because they really rock. I wish OZ wouldn't have ended and I can't wait to see more of Dexter.

Anyway, anyone else see either of these, and if so what did you think?

I've never seen Dexter, but OZ has to be one of the best shows ever made. When they were talking about making a movie a few years after the fact I was excited, but of course they didn't. I even have the Augutus Hill book they showed on the show. Tobias was my favorite. Though I thought Hoyt, Keller, and O'Reiley (sp) were definitely the hottest on the show. HBO hasn't been showing OZ anymore lately, which is bugging the hell out of me, got use to watching the reruns every night. Glad to see there's some fans left. :)

Oh hell yeah, fans never die. That's awesome that you own Hill's book. Wow. It sucks that it isn't playing re-runs on HBO ne more. That's why I so wanna own it on DVD. Tobias was my fav, too and I agree with the hottest characters as well. It was such a good show and they should have more like it in my opinion.
