Sigh.....yes. This person has been a friend for over 15 years. Hard to think of him in any other way. You gonna destroy your friendship if you marry him. I've seen it so many times. Friends for so many years and then they decide to marry but they don't really know why and they start hating each other. |

I told him he deserves someone that truly loves him. He says I will learn to in time, that everything else is there. Guess I'm just tired of trying to do everything myself and this would be an easy out. Not fair to him I know. The kids are pushing hard. They really like him and think it would be great. You would be hurting him in the long run, IMO. That is the last thing I would ever want to do. We have a great friendship that I value and don't want to ruin it. |

it wouldnt be an "out", it would be the way in to a life or misery for you. you'd always wonder, what if i had found someone i really love, would life be even better. Seriously, I have 3 kids and I take care of my Mom and Grandma. No man wants to deal with all that. Besides, I'm not sure there are any good ones left. Maybe I'm just in a pity party mood. I know there are lots of people out there dealing with much worse. Yep, that's a pity party. 
One day the right man will want to deal with it. Enjoy those kids for crying out loud! They grow up fast! Learn to enjoy life and learn to enjoy yourself. Then the right man will come along. |

Things will get better, you're still in the closure and greiving process, give it time. When you are in a better, more calm place, things will be more clear decision-wise. I would, for now, enjoy putting your own life back into focus with your children.
