UPDATE.... My mom is back from her vacation and today she told me she IS going to have the bypass surgery on her leg next Tues June 9. My stepdad is seeing the skin doctor on June 12 to find out if he has skin cancer or not. So please keep them in your prayers. Thank you!

Eileena and Txs... thank you. Yes Noah is doing very well. His last heart appointment went very well so good that they told us to come back in TWO years. He is losing patches of his hair on the back of his head, and some hair is thinning on one eyebrow which I believe is Alopecia, but the doctor wanted to wait and see what happens over the next couple of months. I can live with hair loss. His thyroid tested out okay. He is full of smiles and hugs and kisses. He sure gives me a work out and he's been gaining weight since his heart surgery. The Lord certainly heard our prayers and has seen us through some trials. It's great to see him dancing around and just enjoying being a child. Being born with two holes in his heart, two holes in one eye (colobomas), and Down syndrome... to see him today dancing about you'd think he was like any other child. What a blessing he has been in my life, and how fortunate I was to adopt him.

Today is my mom's surgery and I'm anticipating the very best news today. I will keep you posted!

Surgery was suppose to begin at 9:30 am and at 2 I called... she is still in surgery.

I just came back from the hospital. My mom is recovering tonight and doing well. She is on morophine, but all looks well so far. I guess they have to keep an eye on her because her body could reject the new arteries they put in. I want to THANK all of you for your prayers.

Another update.... They found another clot in my mom's leg and so they put her on medication to help with this. I noticed today my mom just isn't herself, but maybe its the meds she is on making her this way. She is just not with the program... swatting at things that aren't there, and not remembering things as well. They did say they'd like for her to have surgery in her other leg as well since her other leg also has blockages and it means one more bypass.

My stepdad said that he doesn't have cancer so PRAISE GOD for that. So there is good news!

This weekend has had it's trials. My mom pulled out her iv's, wires and my dad told me there was blood everywhere. My mom said the mafia did it, but noone can tell us why she is like this now. She had been on morphine and they have her on coumadin (a blood thinner) because after her bypass surgery on her leg they found a clot. It's heart breaking seeing her like this.

To really add to all of this my son decided to drink a bottle of cough syrup at his fathers house. He's 20. I could just cry that he would do this.

My back went out of place, but I can thank GOD that it's slowly getting better. Just a pinched nerve, but boy they can be a pain in the butt!

The GREAT news is my daughter is getting married in TN in July and I have every intention of taking in the gorgeous mountains and views. I could USE a vacation! Thanks for your continued prayers....

GOOD news... my stepdad's spots on his skin are age related and he told me he is cancer free.... PRAISE GOD.... GOOD NEWS!

My Mom had a surgery back in 02 and she was given Morphine for post op pain. She was out of her head. Crazy talk. She thought the weather guy on our local news was "tracking Santa on the radar". There were several other strange comments like that. For now, I'd attribute it to the Morphine. That is some powerful stuff.

I guess they didn't know why she was like she was because they stopped the morphine, but I'm wondering if maybe it just is still in her body. I'm hoping for GREAT news soon.
