Right at this very minute my mom is in the hospital having doctors try to unblock an artery that is causing her feet to be numb. She is a strong believer in prayer. She had a trip planned for Saturday and her hopes it that the procedure ends up being the least invasive one. My stepfather just lost one of his good friends and he buried him yesterday. So they can use your prayers.

I also need God's guidance and discernment. I need for the truth to be revealed to me regarding another situation. I have some really important decisions to make right now.

Update: My mom found out that the blockage in her leg is much too large and the could not do much about it with the procedure they did preform. So she is looking at a bypass surgery now in two weeks. Being stubborn as she is she told them she has vacation plans and she is postponing the surgery for a week longer than the physician wanted. Doc was worried about gangrene since she has a knick on her foot or at least this is how she described it to me. I can totally understand how she just wants to be on vacation and not miss that opportunity. My stepdad knew someone who had the surgery and still lost his leg and he is very concerned about this surgery. So please continue praying. Thanks so much for your support at this time.

I talked to my mom today who told me she isn't even sure if she is going to allow this surgery. I asked her what will happen if she doesn't have the surgery. She didn't seem to know. She is 66, and she told me that she's lived a good life.

I would suggest going with them to her doc and getting some questions answered. bypasses are Generally a walk in the park these days and aren't nearly as feared as they once were. Good luck

Bypasses really have come a long way from what they were and the recovery time is a lot less than it used to be. I hope you can go to the doctor with your mom and have a talk with them. She sounds scared and I hope she doesn't keep putting it off due to fear. Will keep you and your mom and family in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

First of all THANK YOU For all the wonderful prayers for our family.

UPDATE: Mom came back from her vacation and on Monday she is going to hear what the Docs have to say.... that is GOOD news. My stepfather thinks he has skin cancer and has an evaluation on June 12. Thing is at least they are both being seen by doctors and not just giving up!
This is VERY good news to me.

Noah, my adopted little boy with Down syndrome, is doing well. Praise the Lord. I'm nursing a cold right now so I'm just praying he doesn't get it. I'm really looking for great things to happen this month! I will keep you updated! HUGS TO ALL
