by thinking about what is best for him just as much as you think the same for yourself and acting accordingly.
incorporating him into your life and being a partnership rather than an individual. being best friends. doing things you otherwise wouldn't care to do just because it'd make him happy or at least smile... and not really minding in the end. letting them him in, being honest and open. dropping everything else you were doing that you deemed to be important at the time when he calls... even if only for about 5 minutes. forsaking all others. (meh, i'm feeling mushy today  ) |

by doing things that support and nurture the relationship, by doing things that are not selfish, by doing things (sometimes) that they want (because they want too and they want to show you what they like), and you may not want... by supporting them emotionally in a respectful way...
fidelity, honesty, sincerety,... physically, emotionally, spiritually.... and oh yeah, by having FUN too!!

Can you ever really prove such a thing?
If you love someone... you love. Proof or lack thereof will not change your feelings. Love is not something you prove... it is something you feel, experience, and hopefully find returned to you. |
